Pair Crystal candlesticks, Val St. Lambert, 9.5"hx4.5"w Belgium Fine Crystal Galatee pattern. Since 1826 and still in operation today, thy originally focused on heavy lead crystal. It's home territory is Belgium and the Netherlands. They opened a distribution base in New York in 1889 and is known for its Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces.

Heisey covered candy dish, 5.5"wx3.5"h, pressed and blown glass. the Heisey glass company closed in 1957. The first Heisey glass was made in Newark, Ohio in April 1896 and marked all their glass with the famous capital H within a diamond mark in a raised molding directly in the glass. Some of the company's molds were purchased by the Imperial Glass Co. and still made until Imperial closed in 1984.

Pair Syroco Wood book styled bookends 1950's 5"wx6.5"h and 2 books - Hardcover 1923 "Life of Abraham Lincoln in Verse for Old and Young" by Stella Tyler Mathews of Seattle Washington, The author collected anecdotes of Lincoln's life from notable figures such as Gallahar, Baldwin, Selby, Bullard and others and rewrote them in verse. She believed that every child should know Lincoln's story and wrote in verse so that children could memorize the stories to help them in the future years and to give them courage to go forward when they might otherwise fall by the way. Meerschawm, sea foam, smoking pipe
Meerschaum, sea foam, smoking pipe, made from the mineral sepiolite (meerschaum) which is German for Sea Foam. 7"wx2"h. The first recorded use of meerschaum for making pipes was around 1723. Because of its porous nature of moisture and tobacco tar are drawn deep into the stone and became a premium substitute for the clay pipes of the day. The use of briar wood in the 1820's reduced demand for clay pipes. When smoked, meerschawm pipes gradually change color and turn incremental shades of yellow, orange, red and amber from the base on up.
