Automobile, 1966 Mustang 289HO in perfect running condition.

Lot # 926 (Sale Order: 229 of 506)

Automobile, 1966 Mustang 2-Door Hardtop. In its brief 3 year history, the 1966 was the most popular Ford Mustang. That year the "Pony Car" class of cars marked the crea...moretion of the millionth Mustang and offered a few improvements over the previous two years. One of those improvements was the C4 "Cruise-O-Matic" three speed automatic transmission that became available on the 225hp 289ci V8. This Mustang has that upgrade. It also has a nice selection of other interior upgrades and features. Interior shows the bucket seats, instrument cluster, the standard Mustang/Shelby door handles, the wood-grained steering wheel, full length console and seat belts! The Shelby type Mustang hood scoop was added later and sure adds to the look! Everything you need for the All American Sports Car! This beauty started out costing about $2,400 before adding options. As you can see....this one has a nice selection of options. Ford introduced their Mustang on October 1, 1965, on the same day as all other Fords. Model year production hit 607,568 Mustangs with the car acquiring an amazing 7.1 percent share of all American car sales. This version was about 400,000 of that total production. When you start sorting by original color, engine & transmission options and then interior features, this exact mustang becomes a sizeably smaller number! Exploring the VIN number codes on 6R07C23791 tells us more. This car was early in the production run showing it was number 23,791 and built in San Jose, CA. So it's a California car from the '60's! And the "C" code engine verifies the Windsor 289. This one with the 4 barrel carb, likely added later. This "Pony Car" is in excllent running condition and could be ready for a road trip back to its roots in San Jose! Odometer reads just 32,253 miles.

Automobile, 1956 Ford Victoria 2-Door Hardtop.

Lot # 927 (Sale Order: 230 of 506)

Automobile, 1956 Ford Victoria 2D Hardtop. In 1951 when Ford designer Gordon Buehrig brought the Victoria into the automotive world, he brought in a winner! Ford sold ov...moreer 110,000 of these and they all rolled off the assembly line with Ford's ever dependable 239ci flathead V8. The evolution of that model through the Crown Victoria line lasted up to current times. Looking in the rear view mirror of time, Gordon Buehrig couldn't have imagined this beauty. The back story on this gorgeous Victoria began in 1961 when Doug Gethmann was a junior in high school. He was driving a '51 Ford he bought for a hundred bucks. It was in sad shape so he traded it in for a 1956 Ford Victoria 2D hardtop and $600 that he made from raising hogs. It was a wonderful, beautiful car that he loved dearly. Since then, he always dreamed about owning another one. Fast forward years. Just a few years ago he found this amazing reflection of the '56 Ford Victoria he couldn't forget. It is a magnificent combination of nostalgia and a modern street rod. The car has undergone extensive mechanical modifications including the installation of a 428 Cobra Jet engine with automatic, power steering and air conditioning. The hood, trunk and some side moldings were removed along with the door handles. It now looks sleek, sexy & fast! The black paint is mirror-like and shows you how straight the body is. The interior is equally spectacular. Plush maroon front bucket seats and Crown Victoria rear seats look and ride comfortably. Crown Victoria body trim used as signature molding to top off the rear seats. Air, heat, sound system, keyless entry and gauges work perfectly and the car drives and rides excellent. Shelby racing wheels along with the car's stance make it a gorgeous head turner of a car. This car is both street and show ready. VIN# M6RV179968. Shows 64,465 miles.

VW Microbus 21 window 1967 De Luxe "Samba", 7 Seater, Model 251.

Lot # 928 (Sale Order: 231 of 506)

Bus, VW Microbus 21 window Deluxe "Samba", 7 Seater, Model 251. This VW Bus comes with impeccable DNA. German automotive engineering has had a long history of producing a...moreutomobiles that had appeal to very specific market segments. Take a look at the historic production lines from the Mercedes-Benz to the Volkswagen. The Benz with high quality and performance came with status prestige. Move on to VW economy and value that came with counterculture prestige. They understood consumers better than most in the industry. The VW Bus is one superb example. The Bus went into production in 1950. In 1967 it was the Transporter...aka Type 2. The Beetle was Type 1. In the early stages of its life cycle...it was a "Hippie" van. One of their most memorable 1970's ad campaigns showed the bus painted in colorful flowers of the day. The caption read, "See the Van Gogh!" Their ads had the same flavor and feel of the 7up counterculture ads for the Uncola. The marketing efforts worked. This 1967 Deluxe 21 window Volkswagen Bus with six hinged side windows, is a classic Deluxe model. Its story begins with its "Factory Birth Certificate" showing its original German build on August 4, 1966. It's true to its build specs excepting for the color. This Bus was originally painted in velvet green. A previous owner repainted it this correct factory color code some years ago. It had been owned by a family in TN who cared for it for 20+ years. It was acquired by the current owner in 2020. Since that acquisition, it's been carefully and meticulously restored from top to bottom and front to back. The entire project was done using correct replacement parts. Starting with the canvas top, it's in excellent shape as is the luggage rack on top. Moving toward the front, the Safari windows, with correct Sekurit Glass are one of the great features to make this a much sought after classic collector Volkswagen. The last year for the Safari windows was 1967. As you can see from the photos, it looks brand new! The interior, with Mesh Platinum Leatherette is in equally superb condition. That's right up to the original Blaupunkt restored radio, offering news and entertainment while on those road trips. On the other end of the Bus, the power supply pushing you is a 1600 air-cooled dual port motor which runs great. And the 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly. Every decision excepting the respray made during the restoration many years ago was done with a goal of retaining its originality.  If you're inclined to look under the Bus...you'll see a solid rust-free structure of original sheet metal running the full length. One more bit of commitment to restoring an excellent example of this rare classic. If you are the perfectionist, this bus needs very little for you to address. Most owners would simply fill the tank, open the front windows and head down an open road. As you enjoy the drive your passengers can enjoy the sights all around, including an envious view of a blue sky. An added plus....you'll enjoy the positive attention wherever it goes.  This VW 21 Window Bus seldom comes to market in the condition you'll see here. It's won multiple "Best of Show Awards"! So if you're ready to own one of the most sought after VW's and your goal is to get a superb one, there's little more to do now than just hold your bidding card high. It's ready for a new home and a grand view road trip. You can be the one to drive it there! VIN# 257005368. Odometer shows 95,576 miles. Less that 2,000 miles since major restoration, with additional detail work continued until recently.

Automobile, 1927 T-Bucket Hot Rod.

Lot # 929 (Sale Order: 232 of 506)

Hot Rod, 1927 T-Bucket. For decades, trailing back to the 1950s, the T-Bucket has been the quintessential American Hot Rod. Customized in every way imaginable, over those...more decades the T-Bucket made its way to the covers of Hot Rod, Car Craft, Car Speed & Style and many others. It made its way on Television too. 77 Sunset Strip was a Private Detective show launched in 1958. Edd "Kookie" Byrnes was in the second episode and the pilot of the '22 T-Bucket that was in many of the future episodes. Kookie's T-Bucket was powered by a souped up '52 Caddy engine with a 3-71 GMC blower on top. The show and his Hot Rod launched the T-Bucket movement. It lives on today! In 2018 that T-Bucket sold at auction for $484,000. Today, if you like fast, if you like that look, you will love this T-Bucket. Built in Arkansas, this car has all the DNA, charm, beauty and style of the lines and legacy of the builders who lead the way. The builder who created this beauty died shortly after he finished it. One of his friends sold it for his family. He said he was told more than $50,000 was put in the car. He also said it's a "Spirit" frame and body and has a 383 Stroker motor with dual quads with hi-rise aluminum intake. Along with 4 link suspension Mickey Thompson's, it has chrome everything. The car also comes with the upper windshield and top. This is a street legal rocket ship! Runs and drives beautifully. Titled as 2005 Sport. VIN# 1S9ST181252514020. Odometer shows 1,770 miles.

Automobile, 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe.

Lot # 931 (Sale Order: 234 of 506)

Automobile, 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe'. Doug found this green Lincoln just a month after he had given up finding one. Now he already had the gray Town Coupe'. I...moref one is good, two must be GREAT! It is another true beauty of a classic luxury automobile. The car came with the original steel wheels, but to make a bigger statement about style, this Continental was dressed up with 20" 5-spoke wheels with new tires. The classy look is just like the gray Continental. It's the most visible part of the package. But there's a lot more here too: 460 V-8, leather, power everything, driving comfort and luxury beyond imagination. This is the one Doug set out to find first. It has the Metalic Green with green leather. This car turns heads wherever it goes. He's been asked if it's for sale wherever it go. VIN# 8Y81A937340. Odometer shows 72,427 miles. Motorcyle, Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic.

Lot # 932 (Sale Order: 235 of 506)

Motorcycle, 2005 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic. This Harley was "love at first sight" for Doug Gethmann. He spotted it at a local Harley-Davidson Dealer back in 2015. A ...moremechanic was rolling it out and parking it outside with the used bikes. He recognized immediately that it had a ton of accessories. He said "I asked the guy what they wanted for it and bought it that day. I knew the engine had been juiced up and wanted to talk to the previous owner." Doug went on with a great back story, "I called him and had a long and hilarious talk. He was from Florida and was headed to Sturgis. The bike died on him in Quincy, IL and the dealer put in a new battery. That got him to Waterloo, where the battery was dead again. The stator had quit which drained the battery. He walked in the door and said he wanted to trade for one on the showroom floor and rode away happy. I told him I had rode it and it was a rocket ship and asked him what he had done to it. He said, "that's a long story." He and his buddy went to the H-D Dealership in Florida and each ordered identical black 2005 Ultra Classics. They rode together all the time. One winter his buddy had his souped up and he told me "He kicked my ass." So he said he took his to the same dealership and told them "I don't care what you do and I don't care what it costs. Just make my bike faster than his". I asked him if it was. He said "Oh Yeah." We laughed and I asked what they all did to it. He said he didn't know but the new engine was built at 50,000 miles. I know that in 2005 it started out life as a Twin Cam 88 and I know it has a Stroker so is probably a 96 incher. It has big jugs with Stroker pistons and a special tuner. It has Vance and Heins exhaust. It has a wild cam that sounds like it could eat you alive. When I got it home, I started looking at all the accessories on this bike and realized he had spent a ton of money on it. I got out the H-D Parts and Accessories book and added up over $12,000 in custom parts. This is the most fun bike I have ever owned and I hate to see it go." The trunk and back-rest come with, as does the rider's back rest. VIN# 1HD1FCW135Y680259. The odometer shows 78,615 miles.

Lot # 933 (Sale Order: 236 of 506)

Automobile, 2005 Chevrolet SSR. In 2003 when the SSR was introduced, it was a pitch for a retro style that combined a retractable hardtop convertible with a pickup and th...moreen a Corvette soul! Built for just 4 years, the 2005 year was the first year for the roadster to be Corvette powered. It's now a highly collectible Chevrolet product, with just over 7,000 built in 2005. And only about 25% were built in black. So there were only about 1,700 of these built. This one has everything you could want in an SSR. Even low milage for a car near 20 years old. This SSR is in superb very well cared for condition, with an LS2 6L 400HP engine & the extra $800 optional Tremac M10 6 speed manual. And it's in black! SSR's are really sweet vehicles. This one is the epitome of "Sweet". They have the modern technology, they are a truck, they are a retractable hardtop, they have a truck bed. And on top of all that, they are comfortable and are really fun to drive. Drive this one home! VIN# 1GCES14H55B120359. Odometer reads 44,600 miles.
