Description
The can't-miss comics auction of the fall is here! We're kicking off October with over 370 lots worth of great comics dating all the way back to the Pre-Code era. Single issues, CGC grades, groups, runs, sets, it's all here. The Homecoming King of this auction is undoubtedly a CGC 4.0 copy of Showcase #4, 1st appearance of Barry "The Flash" Allen and the generally recognized dawn of the Silver Age of Comics!
Other highlights include Vault of Horror (pre-code E.C. Comics horror), Batman #181 (CGC 6.0 1st appearance of Poison Ivy), Fantastic Four #2 (CGC 3.0, 1st appearance of the Skrulls), Detective Comics #168 (CGC 2.0, origin of The Joker first told), a run of Spawn #1-75, Aquaman #11 (1st Mera), Amazing Spider-Man #50(CGC 5.0, 1st Kingpin), and so much more!
For local bidders, lots from this auction may be picked up and invoices can be paid starting at 12pm noon on the Monday following the auction's close. For everyone else, shipping costs will be assessed and invoices will start becoming available later that day. Pick-up is available Monday... Show more

***PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING***
Please make sure and read the "Terms of Sale" for bidding in our auction (at the link up above this spot you're reading). We are fairly easy to get along with and we outline our terms very clearly so there's no reason for any confusion. It makes Hulk angry when you start negotiating additional terms after winning lots in one of our auctions.
Here's a few greatest hits:
For any and all shipping related problems and inquiries, please email shipping@gobacktothepast.com or call 313-533-3130 and press "3".
We will not ship via non-trackable "tape it to the back of a pigeon" methods for expensive items. Items over $100 ship insured, and anything over $250 requires signature confirmation of delivery. We assume you want everything to arrive safely and in one piece, and so do we. This is, unfortunately, sometimes expensive, but we are not in charge of FEDEX and USPS shipping rates. We have no hidden "per lot" fees and we will always do our best to find the best balance between being cost effective and ensuring the item arrives safely.
We have heard from a lot of Canadian bidders asking us to avoid shipping with FEDEX due to some problems it causes. You got it! We will always go with USPS First Class or Priority International when shipping to Canada.
We’re happy to save items for local pick-up, but new customers or occasional visitors have to get in touch ASAP after the auction to ensure their items are set aside. Regular locals must make arrangements for pick-up within seven days of invoicing or items will be shipped.
If you bid on this rules “lot”, we will charge your card for it (and possibly send you a printout of the stop sign clip art).
We will add to this notification lot as needed to answer common questions.
Thanks for reading and happy bidding on our auction!
