GERMAN 1930S-WWII ORNATE HUNTING DAGGER BY ALCOSO.

An attractive example of a Third Reich period German hunting cutlass. Nickel-plated steel blade, with dull edges and sharp tip. Reverse ricasso is marked by Alcoso with A...moreCS and scales. The blade is wonderfully etched with the standard hunting scenes of that period, showing moderate blemishes, but the original etching remains crisp. The spine is decorated with etched leaves. Brass hilt with hoof quillon and a D-guard. Stag grips with 3 decorative acorns fastened to the grip. A green and silver portepee is affixed to the grip. The scabbard is constructed of black leather with brass fittings. Upper mount features an acorn stud, which accommodates a green leather frog. The blade exhibits a light patina with unmolested etching. Hilt exhibits a pleasing patina with with nice traces of original gilding. Stag grips are intact with light wear. There is also a "N" and "2850" engraved as well. A 2005 "Guarantee of Authenticity" from the former militaria dealer "Detlev Niemann" is included, and indicates the stopwatch was for submarine use in the timing of torpedoes. Lot consists of: (A) US WWII German T.Mi.42 Training Tellermine built by the US to train troops on how to deactivate live Tellermines. Inert and hollow, marked "DUMMY" on bottom. Nice green paint with scattered areas of oxidation, especially on the bottom. CONDITION: Good. (B) German WWII S-mine, commonly referred to as the “Bouncing Betty” or the “frog-mine”. This example is marked "43 bre / 58" on the top cover. Exterior of mine retains its original olive drab paint but is heavily oxidized with a chocolate patina. Brass 3-prong fuse assembly is stamped "1938". Interior explosive charge and detonators have been removed but the balls are still present. CONDITION: Fair. (C) German WWII Pak 38 shell. Head and base are both marked with German manufacturer codes, base dated "42". Nice patina with scattered blemishes throughout. CONDITION: Good. (D) German WWII M24 stick grenade with frag sleeve. RECOVERED PANEL FROM A MESSERSCHMITT WITH BULLET HOLES.

An interesting piece of aircraft wreckage that was recovered from a German aircraft wreck during World War II. The consigner states that this aircraft fragment was once part of a Messerschmitt. This piece seems to be a door to an outer storage compartment on a fuselage, given the "Balkankreuz” and hinges on the left side. Constructed of aluminum, the fragment measures approximately 28 - 1/2" x 19 - 1/2" and features remnants of gray paint which has worn away in some areas, exposing the aluminum. There are 2 bullet holes on the lower portion and the right edge is crudely cut, most likely done by a savvy GI. A nice patina is exhibited throughout on both sides with scattered blemishes. Third Reich SS dagger with a "Boker, Solingen" marked blade with very lightly visible cross graining, moderate runner marks, has been polished, and with moderate to heavy...more scattered marks from resharpening. Blade inscription has been postwar painted in black. Nickle fittings are loose and exhibit staining and patina, with "4210" engraved on the cross guard. Grip has scattered marks, light dings, and several inches of light cracks near the cross guard. The SS eagle appears to have been replaced, with a damaged grip, while the runes appear to be original to the grip. Steel scabbard retains approximately 85% of its paint painted finish with scattered marks, nickel plated fittings have scattered marks and patina throughout, with the lower fittings having tiny dings. German World War II Kriegsmarine dagger with a Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie knight's head proof marked nickel plated blade that is double acid-etched with the classic anchor naval pattern. Moderate patina with spots of freckling and rubbing. The brass fittings retain pleasing amounts of their gilt finish. Ivory grip has a nice patina with its brass wire intact, but slightly loose. THIRD REICH EICKHORN 2ND MODEL RAILWAY LEADER DAGGER.

Third Reich Second Model Railway Leader's Dagger by Carl Eickhorn with correct hanger and portepee. The Second Model Railway Dagger was introduced in 1937 and this new de...moresign gave the organization's dagger a more identifiable look, as opposed to it's first model dagger which was patterned off the dress dagger of the Heer. The dagger features a nickel-plated steel blade with visible cross graining and light blemishes throughout its length. Light runner marks are observed on each side of the blade from being inserted and removed from the scabbard. The blade features the manufacturer's squirrel logo etched on the reverse of the blade, near the cross guard and is marked "ORIGINAL / Eickhorn / SOLINGEN". The aluminum cross guard and pommel cap exhibit nice darkened finish with pleasing patina. The black trylon grip is excellent with only minor light handling wear. The steel plating of the scabbard mostly intact with a pleasing patina and minor oxidation at the throat. The correct silver with black trimmed hangers also accompany this dagger and are in excellent condition, with a pleasing patina to the fittings. Black backing is completely intact. The silver and black portepee also accompanies this dagger and is attached to the grip. The portepee exhibits fraying in areas, especially around the crossguard, but remains intact and secured to the dagger, and was likely never removed. This is a rare opportunity to own a desirable, and seldom encountered Second Model Railway Dagger with the correct components. CONDITION: Very good. Blade Length: 10" Overall Length: 15"

Lot consists of: (A) German World War II Luftwaffe 1st model dagger with a "Tiger Solingen" marked blade with bright finish, light blemishes, and faint areas of cross gra...moreining. Aluminum fittings exhibit light and swastikas retain generous amounts of their gold finish. Blue leather wire-wrapped grip has light wear and tight wire. Blue leather-covered steel scabbard exhibits light blemishes with visible seam. Aluminum fittings are bright with scattered light blemishes. Aluminum chain hanger exhibits light wear with a "GES. GESCH OLC" marked clip. CONDITION: Very good. (B) Luftwaffe 2nd Model dagger with "Original Eickhorn Solingen" marked nickel-plated steel blade. The blade exhibits a gray patina with light freckling and scattered blemishes throughout. Aluminum cross-guard and pommel retain most of the dark finish with a nice patina. The wire-wrapped bone grip has nice patina with scattered blemishes. The finished steel scabbard exhibits a nice patina with staining at upper mount. An original Luftwaffe Portepee is loosely attached to the grip with areas of fraying. CONDITION: Good. Blade Length: (A) 12 - 1/8" (B) 10" Overall Length: (A) 18" (B) 15 - 1/4"

Swastikas retain light traces of their gold finish. Blue leather wire-wrapped grip has moderate wear with scattered blemishes and slightly loose wire. Blue leather-covered steel scabbard exhibits scattered scuffs and blemishes. Steel fittings exhibit a nice patina that compliments the original finish. Aluminum chain hanger exhibits light wear and blemishes with a "DRGM" marked clip. CONDITION: Good. (B) Luftwaffe 2nd Model dagger with "Alcoso Solingen" marked nickel-plated steel blade. The blade exhibits a gray patina with areas of light freckling and scattered blemishes throughout. Aluminum cross-guard and pommel exhibit a nice patina. The wire-wrapped bone grip has nice patina with slightly loose wire. Steel scabbard exhibits a gray/chocolate patina. Missing 1 throat screw. Scabbard exhibits a nice patina with dark areas. CONDITION: Good. (B) Heer dagger with "P.D. LUNESCHLOSS / SOLINGEN" marked blade with visible cross graining, light runner marks, and scattered blemishes. Nickel silver plated fittings exhibit traces of original finish with a dark patina that is more oxidized on the pommel. Trylon grip exhibits light wear. Scabbard retains most of its original nickel silver finish with visible wear and dark patina. CONDITION: Good. (C) Heer dagger with "C. GUSTAV SPITZER / SOLINGEN" marked blade light runner marks freckling throughout its length. Nickel silver plated fittings exhibit patina with oxidation.
