WELCOME TO THE AUCTION

Lot # 1

Just to Reiterate from our terms and conditions: I do my best to estimate the grade/condition of the coins, but please note, unless specifically mentioned in the descrip...moretion, I do not guarantee grade or condition. I DO ALWAYS GUARANTEE 100% AUTHENTICITY, on an immediate buyback including any premium paid. But please understand, if you win a coin and receive it and send it out to one of the grading companies and it comes back graded less than I estimated or "genuine but Ungradeable", we will not buy back that coin. No refunds will be issued. Please understand this and look at the large pictures and make your own decision on the grade/condition. I do my best to give you my best estimate and your repeat attendance at my auctions is what I strive for, so I always attempt to give my best description/estimate of the coins being auctioned.

1968 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging, 10 Coins Inside!

Lot # 3627

1968 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging, 10 Coins Inside!. Original packaging: The new Mint Sets retained the old Pliofilm packaging, but with...more a twist. To differentiate official Mint Sets from privately made sets, the Mint added color to the edge of the plastic: blue for the Philadelphia and San Francisco coins, and red for the Denver coins (the addition of colored edging was actually proposed in 1964). The five coins from the Denver Mint were placed in one pliofilm package, while the Philadelphia and San Francisco were combined in another. The two pliofilm packs were inserted, along with two plain cards, into a mailing envelope for shipment to customers.

1934A $20 FRN Hawaii WWII Emergency Currency Grades vf+

Lot # 3636

1934A $20 FRN Hawaii WWII Emergency Currency Grades vf+. FR-2305 out of 65 Million Hawaii Notes Printed Only about 16% were $20 Hawaii's. It was the darkest days of Worl...mored War II, just after Pearl Harbor. Everybody in Hawaii was sitting on pins and needles. Were the Japanese preparing a massive invasion of the islands? If they did invade, they could use the millions of dollars in currency on the islands to buy war material. To thwart this, these $20 Federal Reserve Notes were sent to the islands. Each has a large HAWAII printed on the reverse. If the Japanese did invade, the currency would be demonetized. After the threat passed, most of these "Hawaii" Notes were destroyed. Today they're hard to find.

Original sealed 1961 United States Mint Proof Set Tennessee Valley Hoard

Lot # 3638

Original sealed 1961 United States Mint Proof Set Tennessee Valley Hoard. Once in a lifetime collection We are proud to bring to auction the greatest proof collec...moretion of the late 1950s and early 1960s. This collection may contain some of the only unopened mega boxes of unopened proof sets still in existence. In all my years in numismatics I have never seen a collection like this one. Finding cameo and deep cameo proofs from this era is near impossible u less you pay full retail and buy them already holdered. All of the sets at coin shows have been examined and have virtually no cameos. The only way to get the same odds of finding one of these valuable cameos is to buy an unopened set. Many sets today that are purported to be unopened have a actually been opened and resealed or put into a fresh envelope and sealed. This 100% original lot is guaranteed to be unopened from the day it left the mint. We will cover your laboratory costs and pay you 10x your cost of the set if the carbon dating on this set shows that the glue is not from the late 1950s 1960s. A true once in a lifetime opportunity

1970 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! 10 Coins Inside!

Lot # 3639

1970 United States Mint Set in Original Government Packaging! 10 Coins Inside!. 1970 United States Mint Set from 1970 included a total of 10 coins struck at three ...moredifferent mint facilities. Each set comprised of Lincoln Cents (P, D, S), Jefferson Nickels (D, S), Roosevelt Dimes (P, D), Washington Quarters (P, D), and one Kennedy Half Dollar (D) was struck in a composition of 40% silver and importantly was not issued for circulation. This created a low mintage key date for the recently released series and a draw for many collectors. There are also the chance of finding a small date 1970-s Lincoln cent trending $80 for ms65 rd.. The Philadelphia Mint coins and the single Lincoln Cent struck at the San Francisco Mint were placed within a cellophane pack with a blue stripe and the Denver Mint coins were placed in a pack with a red stripe. The two were placed between sheets of light cardboard within a white envelope marked “19__ U.C.” with the Treasury Department address.

1928 "Funnyback" $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades vf++

Lot # 3652

1928 "Funnyback" $1 Blue Seal Silver Certificate Grades vf++. FR-1600 Signatures Tate-Mellon These were the first notes to be called funnybacks. The reason they are cal...moreled funnybacks is because of the unique design on the back of the bill. The word 'one' is printed in a "funny" font that is quite different from anything ever printed on a bill. This nickname is not exclusive to the 1928 series, as the 1934 one dollar silver certificate bills have the same back design so they are also known as funnybacks. Issued for less than a year, from April 1928 to January 1929, this $1 note was among the first small-size Silver Certificates. Although its face displays the sought-after blue seal marking it as a Silver Certificate, the back is what makes it so popular! The light green border and large, green ornamental ONE do not match the contemporary black-and-white face, leading to its nickname "Funnyback." Still considered legal tender though no longer payable in silver, this note is in great demand for its historical significance and unique design. With blue seal and serial numbers.
