RUGER INFO: The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is one of the top choices for handgun hunting and is capable of reliably taking down deer, elk, caribou, moose, lion, grizzly or brown bear and even cape buffalo. It combines the reliability and simplicity of a revolver with the energy of the famous 44 Remington Magnum cartridge. SPECS: Patented transfer bar mechanism & loading gate for an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge; Models chambered in the powerful .44 Magnum also accept factory .44 Special cartridges which deliver superb accuracy & milder recoil; 10.5" Cold hammer-forged barrel with ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning; adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel; Patridge front sight; Smooth walnut grips with silver/ black logo medallion inlays; Grooved hammer; and 6-shot cylinder. This gun comes in the original factory grey hardcase with paperwork. CONDITION: This gun is in nice condition with some light wear on the butt frame, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Ruger Blackhawk is a six-shot, single-action revolver that was introduced in 1955. The Super Blackhawk (chambered for magnum loads) was introduced in 1959. The early Blackhawk models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload, and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. A transfer bar was added to all models in 1974, and dubbed the "New Model". All Super Blackhawks, new & early styles, are capable of operating with much higher pressure handloads than factory produced ammunition in .44 Magnum. FREE SHIPPING & NO PROCESSING FEES.
