M1935 Modified Knife Bayonet for M1 Garand

According to Dennis Ottobre, M1935 bayonets were modified this way for use with both the U.S. M1 Garand and the Greek 6.5 mm 1903 Mannlicher-Shoenauer rifle.. The modification includes attaching an auxiliary plate with a smaller muzzle ring behind the original crosspiece. This rare variation has the reinforced muzzle ring that was modified for the M1 Garand Rifle. The Turks, like several of the NATO nations, had Garands.

The Type I (type eye) rifle was produced by Italy for the Japanese Empire prior to World War II. After the invasion of China, all Arisaka production was required for use of the Imperial Army, so under the terms of the Anti-Comintern Pact, the Imperial Navy contracted with Italy for this weapon in 1937 and produced approx. 120,000 through 1939. The rifle was based on a Carcano receiver and bolt, but otherwise configured like a Type 38 Arisaka. The Type I was utilized primarily by Japanese Imperial Naval Forces |||| Condition: Moderate, milsurp. 60% blue finish with a decent amount of wear and surface rust. Wood stock is good and solid with lots of handling marks. Currently does not mechanically function as it should. The trigger needs some work, currently the only way to make the rifle fire is by pushing the trigger in the opposite direction, so it’s possible it may just need a spring or something. Bore is dark and rusty.

Early 1913 US Army Colt 1911 .45 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol w/ Holster

S#: 34928 Mfg. 1913 | Inspected by WGP: Walter G. Penfield, Major | Marked with the Arsenal stamp RIA for Rock Island Arsenal. It looks like the Arsenal replaced the barrel with an HS marked High Standard, plastic checkered grips, and a new slide stop. This early of a Colt would have the horse at the rear of the slide so they must’ve swapped that as well, however, the finish still looks original. So it must’ve come off another really nice Colt in the arsenal at the time. It really is a beautiful colt 1911. Not all pistols were refinished and parkerized when they went to an arsenal inspection. There were plenty of guns that went through the arsenals needed no repair, and were simply inspected, tested, marked as accepted and sent on their way. These early 1913 Colts are hard to come by in any condition. This one comes with (1) WWII “S” marked 1911A1 Magazine and a nice 1943 Dated Holster with great patina |||| Condition: 85% overall Factory Blue Finish has started dulling but shows nice and glossy in protected areas. Rollstamp markings are still nice a crisp/visible. Honest wear in grip strap. Plastic grips are solid. Mechanically functions. Bore is very good. Holster is in very good/pliable condition with nice patina.

1918 US Army Colt 1911 .45 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol

S#: 228988 Mfg. 1918 | Inspected by GHS: Gilbert H. Stewart (Must’ve been one of his last batch of pistols since he only did them to about 230,000) | Marked with the Arsenal stamp AA for Augusta Arsenal. It looks like the Arsenal replaced the barrel with an HS High Standard one, other than that it doesn’t look like they changed that much. Still has a lot of the original WWI parts. It has an arsenal dulite style phosphate finish looks really nice and well done, combined with some fancy plastic checkered grips that together, give a nice appeal. Overall a nice and solid 1911 Pistol in working condition. Comes with (1) Modern Colt .45 magazine |||| Condition: 98% Finish showing some edge wear. Pistol doesn’t exhibit any signs of being buffed or anything of the sort. The rollstamp markings are crisp and visible. No undertone pitting. Custom diamond plastic grips are very good and nice looking. Mechanically functions. Bore is excellent.

Original 1918 Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer .38 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol

S#: 40121 Mfg. 1918 | Slide serial matches the frame. This is an original condition Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer. Not often seen as much as the Pocket hammerless but harder to come by and quite collectible. Most have been refinished, however, this one is still in its original blue from over 100 years ago. Not much blue, but it’s there, and you can see it in the protected areas and when it’s in the right light. Otherwise it’s more of a dark grey metal appearance. There’s no real pitting to the metal so it has potential. Chambered in the not so known .38 AUTO or .38 ACP Caliber which can still be found if you know where to look. Comes with (1) magazine |||| Condition: good/original. Not much finish remaining but what is left which is around 20% in protected areas which is 100% original. Rest of the pistol is darkened patina. Still visible rollstamp lettering with no pitting to the metal. Grips are excellent condition. Mechanically functions. Bore shows rifling with dark grooves and minor corrosion.

S#: 03677 | Action Mfg. 1941-1942 (WWII Era) | 13.5 LOP, Incredibly light and smooth trigger pull | Equipped with a Lyman Super Target Spot 15x Scope - #5436 with both lens covers | Fitted with a Womack 400 28.5" Bull Barrel by Walter Womack, a very well known and respected Riflesmith from the 60s. Walter used Douglas premium barrels built to his specifications. He was famous for his Remington 37 work. He barreled multiple national winners from Perry including but not limited to John Moschkau in 1957 and Bob Moore in 1958 |||| AL FREELAND: When it comes to competitive target shooting, Al Freeland is known all around the world due to his lifelong success. He won numerous small bore championships and set several world records. Furthermore, he custom designed many of the rifles he used, such as this one. Freeland made his own barrels, modified receivers, made and bedded his own forends (hand-checkered of course), and used his trademark 3-position aluminum buttstock. Albin Freeland passed away in the early 1980s and deserves to be remembered among firearms enthusiasts. If you’d like to know more about “Uncle Al” you can read his biography, Uncle Al: The Life and Times of Inventor/Marksman Albin Freeland. |||| Condition: Excellent. 99% Beautiful dark blue, almost black gloss finish. S#: 1529g - matching on frame, slide, and barrel. This is one interesting pistol full of history! This P38 has surely got around, it has markings by Walther, Mauser, FN, the French Military and Austrian Military BH. Here is the history behind this pistol: This is an SVW 45 (Mauser 1945) P38 - waffen proofed on the slide WaA135 and the barrel. However, they used an FN Belgian slide marked with a stacked Large ac44. It was in the Mauser factory when the French took over so it also has the French Star proof on the left side of slide, and on barrel locking block. Later in its life it was issued Austrian military (BundesHeer) after WWII indicated by the “Eagle BH" marking on the left side of the frame. The fact that it’s a French p38 with an FN slide is incredibly rare in its own, but also being diverted to Austrian military is even more rare! | P.38 researcher and collector Orvel Reichert reports 83% of reported pistols have the svw code, 7% the byf44 code, 5% the FN ac43 code, and 4% for the FN ac44 code, which makes this one the least produced combination. The French continued with the German serial number system, starting with the "g" block (presumably 1g would have been the first French Mauser). The g, h, and i blocks were produced in 1945, transitioning to the k and L blocks in 1946. Walther used the majority of the FN frames, in the ac44 g/h blocks | Comes with (1) Correct Magazine with Eagle/135 on spine & outfitted with early Posselt grips, possibly just slapped on from the mix of parts in factory during French production |||| Condition: Excellent. 98% blue finish with some edge wear. This excellent, near mint Black Pebble Holster was manufactured by Joseph Moll, Goch. It has excellent stitching with honest wear and patina. Great for a 1943 or later production P38. Included is (1) Original Walther Eagle/359 P38 Magazine in excellent, original condition. Holster marked inside flap C.W. 42012491 by the soldier who brought this holster back, Claude Whitney & his serial number. Will include a write-up and a few photos of past. Buyer will receive the entire printout of events, etc. Aprox. 60 pages |||| HISTORY (per consignor): Whitney enlisted in January of 1944 so he did his basic and probably some further training prior to being assigned to Service Battery of the 101st Field Artillery Battalion on 12 July, 1944. I believe he was a truck driver. His duty code shows as 2345. I'm not sure why the 2 is there but MOS 345 means he was a truck driver. I have included every mention of his name, every station where he was located and any record of events section included by the unit clerks. If you see a gap in time then none of these three things occurred. The same is true of the Humphrey summary which follows. Whitney joined the 101st Field Artillery from the Field Artillery Training Center at Fort Bragg. He was promoted to Private First Class on 17 August, 1944. He sailed overseas with the unit in August. They do not provide the name of the ship. He was promoted to Tech 5 on 10 January. On 4 June he was in the 114th Medical Battalion clearing station with a sprained ankle. He returned to the unit on 9 June. On 5 September he was promoted to Sergeant. On 8 October he was transferred to the 17 Replacement Depot to be transferred back to the USA. This is where the trail ends for him.

It is all matching and has the proper Imperial proofs. This one has sure seen some battle and the fact that it has seen battle and been used and made it out with its original matching magazine and all its original parts says a whole lot! The Long P.08 with its 8” barrel was often employed in the same tactical roles as the sub-machine gun in WWII, they were used to protect machine gun nests, artillery and also used in the assault role with the storm troopers |||| Condition: Very Good. Features approx. 90% of its original blue finish with some browning patina spots. Most of the wear and finish loss is in the grip area which is just honest wear from being used like it was designed to. Nice fire blue finish on some small parts and internals. S#: 123508 all matching serials with matching serial stamped inside red 9 grips | This is a superb example of a hard to find German police issued 1920 Rework C96 Mauser that still has almost all of its original rework finish with fire blue bolt-stop and safety. Correctly shortened 4” barrel with strong rifling. Fixed sight instead of the tangent sight which personally I think is way better. Stamped “1920” on the opposite side of the receiver serial number meaning it was put back into service, and in this case with the Königsberg Schutzpolizei (municipal police) denoted by the unit marking on the grip strap “S.Kg.R.95.” |This particular specimen is a German contract “Red Nine” variant of the C96. The nickname “Red Nine” is a reference to the red colored number 9 on each grip panel indicating the gun was chambered for 9mm Luger rounds. These guns were developed during WWI because the German military wanted to chamber all its handguns to fire 9mm Luger rounds to avoid logistical issues. These guns were made between 1916-1918, and a number remained in service with the Reichswehr, Freikorps and various police formations during the turbulent Weimar-era (ca. 1919-1933). Many of the Red Nine C96s that remained in service after WWI had their barrels shortened and rear sights changed to fixed in order to conform to the punitive provisions of the Versailles Treaty. You hardly see actual Red 9 Pistols that haven’t been faked on the market, and even more rare for a 1920 rework police pistol at that. This is a must have for a serious German pistol collector, the investment potential here is not one to pass up! |||| Condition: Excellent. 98% original 1920 finish. Marked on the rear neck inside “ckl62” for maker Eisenhuttenwerk AG, Thale Harz and size 62. Below that is the batch code, 2981. Towards the end of the war, the ET marking was discontinued in favor of three letter code ckl, making this a later war issued helmet |||| Condition: Helmet retains about 95% of its original paint. The left side of the helmet features a Heer eagle decal, which is retained 75% with some areas chipped out with the paint and wear. All three liner retaining pins are intact and have most to all of their original paint on the exterior. The interior of the helmet has the M31 leather liner with all nine fingers, no string. Pliable and in great condition. Chinstrap looks like it may be a replacement, but it’s marked jhz1942. Overall this is a very nice late-war helmet. M42 helmets of this quality are quite hard to come by on the market.

Bolt is matching 609, with a replaced knob and firing pin. Magazine plate matches 609. The bottom of the receiver has a 2nd serial number stamped 927 and this is the number that’s matching on trigger, stock, handguard and bolt release. This is a nice an original Type 38 produced prior to WWII by the imperial Japanese and survived the war and retained its original Chrysanthemum stamp |||| Condition: Excellent. 99% blue military finish. This is an excellent example M1896 Knife bayonet for use on the 6.5mm 1896 Swedish Mauser Rifle. Also used on the the M/1938 Short Rifle, and AG52b Ljungmann Self-loading rifle. Bayonet and scabbard are both marked with a “Crown/C” indicating manufacturer Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori which is the less common production. Usually you encounter EJ AB. The bayonet and scabbard are not matching but they are not far from each other, and both have the same manufacturer. Leather frog is in excellent condition and bears the “3 Crown” stamping. Overall a very nice setup that presents well and would make a great accessory to your rifle.

37” Barrel | .58 CAL | This is an original antique in semi-restored condition with a fully working action. Produced by PJ Malherbe & Cie of Liege and are all marked with his maker name on the rear of the back action lock, behind the hammer. The marking on this one is very faint and illegible. This is one of the more rarely encountered imported long arms used during the American Civil War. Less than 29,000 Saxon or Dresden muskets were imported by the US during the war, with Union purchasing agent George Schuyler obtaining 27,055 for the US government in Dresden and the balance of 1,740 being purchased by Marcellus Hartley. The gun came in two different models, the M-1851 with a 37.125” barrel and the M-1857 with a 40.25” barrel. The ordnance records only specifically refer to 236 of Hartley’s purchases being of the Short Dresden Rifle variety. Existing examples of the shorter rifle are very rarely encountered and this is one of those rarely encountered M-1851 rifles with the shorter barrel |||| Condition: Semi restored condition with a heavily pitted surface and bare metal finish. No rear sight. Wood stock is surprising in very good condition with a visible cartouche stamp right behind the top tang. This musket mechanically functions with a working Half and Full cock, nice and tight action. Appears to have most or all parts.

The Potsdam musket was the standard infantry weapon of the Royal Prussian Army from the 18th century until the military reforms of the 1840s. The M1809 originally made in the flintlock format, with production after 1831 changing the name to the Model 1809/31 and shifting to the more reliable percussion firing system. This musket would have been correct to assume it partook in Prussian conflicts during the 1840s and 50s, including the Egyptian-Ottoman War, the Greater Poland Uprising, the Revolutions of 1848, and the First Schleswig War, before being sold to the United States government in the first years of the American Civil War |||| Condition: Semi-restored in very good condition for the age with some replacement parts, but mostly all original and working condition. Wood stock is in great shape and solid for age. Shows some inscribed letters. See photos. Mechanically functions at full and half cock with nice and tight action. Percussion nipple is a bit boogered up. Missing 1 top tang screw.

This is a very neat piece. Only marking on the sword is Germany. Comes with a nice metal scabard. Solid sword. Measures 18" Blade, and 23.5" overall length. These were more similar to the machete we have today, back then for the user. Other countries who copied the french model were Russian 1848 short swords and M-1878 Bulgarian model short swords.

Flag was handmade by his mother Blance Lindsay and grandmother Rose Marie Lindsay |||| AQUISITION: This flag was given to me (Cecil Parsons) on or about June 16, 1989 by a descendant of the Lindsay family for helping her in settling her mother's estate. It was then acquired by consignor who brought it to us to rehome it |||| SPECIFICATIONS: Flag measures 21.5” wide x 35.5” long. Navy Blue in color, 13 white stars. 18” tall soldier in white with rifle. Leather shoulders are in good condition. Tag inside reads “Philla Quartermaster Depo” which started producing flags and cloth after 1777. Overall flag is in amazing condition for this age and to have went through and survived battle.

The body of the armband is made from a finely woven red wool fabric, Multi-piece black swastika emblem on a white roundel, all made of a ribbed fabric with a smooth, silky feel. The upper and lower long edges of the armband have strips of black ribbed fabric tape, indicating that this armband was intended for use on an SS uniform. The short edges have been sewn together inside and shows typical machine stitching throughout. There is a small piece of a correct factory RZM Tag for an SS armband with a “D” tax code. All that is visible is part of the “D”, but that is better than nothing. Moth holes can be observed throughout but one side has been almost completely chewed through and is just barely still together with the black strips holding it. | (2) HITLER YOUTH ARMBAND - Armband worn by members of the Hitlerjugend organization. No tag. | (3) WWII GERMAN VOLKSSTURM ARMBAND - This was worn by the civilian militia units that fought alongside the military between October, 1944, and the end of WWII.

See photos for overall condition, tang stamps, and more |||| Sword Measures: 34.5" tip of blade to tip of tang, 27" tip of blade to guard, 37" overall length |||| Shadowbox measures: 44.5" Long x 13.5" and aprox. 5" deep |||| HISTORY: Tang Translation - Date: Showa Kanoto-mi haru - Spring 1941 | On the back of the tang is the katakan "tsu" and the production number believed to be 438. This is a Mantetsu Koa Isshin, made in Spring of 1941 and aside from its military history, it has a very interesting production history as well. A select few people have dedicated years of research and study to be able to provide us with as much information on the “Mantetsu” Swords. The full factory name is South Manchuria Railway Co., Ltd. (SMR). and it was a plant that partook in many different ventures but the main one was metal devlopment in 1937. The South Manchuria Railway Company (Mantetsu, Dairen Main plant) poured all their resources into developing the perfect metal in 1937 for their swords. With the help of Dr. Kazuharu Kusaka and his research of metal. They began to produce their own Excellent steel from crude metal through a particular electrolytic production method. This metal was produced strictly for the forging of the sword. The result was close to pure iron. Excellent WWII 1943 Japanese Shin-Gunto Sword made by Swordsmith Ishihara Yoshisada with Scabbard

This is an excellent sword with beautiful blade showing a nice straight hamon. Blade shows some scratches/lines. Sword is solid, and comes with original scabbard. See photos for mounts and handle condition. Measures 34.5” blade tip to tang tip, and 27.25” from blade tip to guard. Tang has been translated and the maker/date have been identified as Ishihara Yoshisada, a Seki-based smith in April of Sh?wa 18 (1943 CE) |||| SWORDSMITH HISTORY: Real name is Ishihara J?´ichi born in Meiji 32 (1899) August 16. He registered early pre-war as a Seki tosho in Showa 14 (1939) October 25, age 40, so presumably had some experience before then. He was living at Seki-machi, Nagasumi-cho. He is listed as a Rikugun Jumei Tosho |||| This is an excellent sword with a well preserved blade showing just a few scratches and lines on surface. Hamon is still highly visible, and blade is sharp!

This is a Fantastic Commissioning pennant from the USS Henley given to Captain E. K. Swearingen as it was his first command. This Captain and this ship were present at Pearl Harbor on December 7TH, 1941, although he did not receive command of the ship until 1942. So this pennant was in Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7th! It has been framed with a photo of the USS Henley. Frame measures 13” x 12.5”. Commissioning pennants are flags that are flown from the masthead of a ship or boat to indicate that it is a new commission, or newly commissioned into service.

Small card measures 4” x 3” with photo attached. HISTORY: Confederate cavalry commander John Hunt Morgan was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on June 1, 1825. Educated at Transylvania University, he fought in the Mexican War as a first lieutenant in the Kentucky Mounted Volunteers and saw action at the battle of Buena Vista. From 1852 to 1854 he served as captain of an artillery company in the state militia. In 1857 he formed the Lexington Rifles and attached the unit to the state guard militia in 1860. Morgan initially supported Kentucky neutrality, but in September 1861, on his own authority, he led the Lexington Rifles in a series of guerrilla raids before officially joining the Confederacy as a captain of cavalry in October 1861.

This Hitler Youth Knife was brought back by a soldier along with his personal KABAR folding pocket knife and both were acquired directly from the veteran’s estate per consignor. The Youth knife is in good condition with excellent patina. Maker marked RZM M7/3 for Kuno Ritter of Solingen. The nickel finish has worn off, blade is aged and has darkened spots. Leather throat still intact. USMC EGA insignia has been affixed over the Nazi diamond on grip. Scabbard reads “August 29 1944 / USS Philadelphia / France” | On 29 August 1944, during the invasion of southern France, Marines from the battleship USS Augusta and the cruiser USS Philadelphia went ashore in Marseilles harbor to accept the surrender of more than 700 Germans who had fortified island garrisons. | If items could talk, I’d imagine this one would have a lot to say! What a great piece of history here.

This lot contains a piece of bomber shrapnel inscribed “Bomb 1944”, a Toy Cricket noise maker, and Included are 3 different types of parachutes: White parachute: German white supply chute, Darker parachute: FJ chute fragment, and Camouflage parachute: one dirty, a few clean. These were discovered in Holland (picture shown are of the actual parachute being dug up). Consignor asked for one dirty fragment and a few clean ones. This was in the 82nd Airborne area, purchased out of Holland from Bas Bravenboer.

This is an original WWII M42 No Decal Helmet. The helmet retains its original paint and dome stamp, and is in excellent shape. Helmet is maker marked hkp64 for Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G. in the shell size 64. Batch number is 3901. Many observed M42 ND helmets around this batch code range. Original liner size marked 56 with a prewar 1937 dated and marked G. Schiele Loberg chinstrap. Liner is named “H. Telefsen” & “Kimgel”. The no decal helmets are quite rare amongst collectors and are considered safe since you don’t have to worry about if the decals on a helmet are real or not, just go with one that was never supposed to have them in the first place!

The Irvin jacket gets its name from its creator, Leslie Irvin, who designed the jacket in 1926 and became the sole supplier to the Royal Air Force in the 1940s. This jacket comes with A.M. (Air Ministry) Zipper and Lightning Zipper. The Air Ministry was a department of the Government of the United Kingdom with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the Royal Air Force that existed from 1918 to 1964. Overall jacket is solid with a few issues including broken zipper on right sleeve. A few leather patches on right arm, armpit, and side. Comes with dog tags named to Frank Emerson Kennedy USNR-SV. Overall solid, with a slightly sticky feel, which most to all of these jackets have that feel after 80+ years.

The Irvin jacket gets its name from its creator, Leslie Irvin, who designed the jacket in 1926 and became the sole supplier to the Royal Air Force in the 1940s. It is of the first pattern with the single seam to the rear as worn in the pre-war years and during the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. SAW, England DOT, and Lightning zippers. Patch inside sleeve. Slightly hardened cuffs. Chain and band are both intact on collar. Overall solid, with a slightly sticky feel, which most to all of these jackets have that feel after 80+ years.

VFA-31 or Strike Fighter Squadron 31 is known as the Tomcatters, callsign "Felix", a United States Navy strike fighter squadron stationed at Naval Air Station Oceana flying the F/A-18E Super Hornet. The Tomcatters are the second oldest Navy Fighter Attack squadron operating today after the Tophatter, now designated as VFA-31 since 2006. The squadron was originally known as the Shooting Stars. The original "Felix the Cat" squadron was established as VF-1B on 1st July 1935 and then became VF-3. After the Battle of Midway, VF-3 and VF-6 swapped designations on 15 July 1943. Several well-known aviators have flown with Felix on their shoulders, including Charles Lindbergh and Butch O'Hare. This jacket is of the first pattern Irvin with the single seam to the rear as worn in the pre-war / early WWII years and during the Battle of France and the Battle of Britain. Given the history and the patch, this jacket is a private purchase by the USN Fighter Pilot. Named on the back “Owen”. Features made in England DOT Zippers. Jacket looks to be in overall good condition with a few repairs on the shoulders and a small hanger hole/tear in left shoulder (see last photos) ,but still retains the chain and band on collar which is quite rare. The sheepskin is in excellent condition with additional padding/layers for warmth and comfort. The leather has a slight sticky feel to it, which most to all of these jackets have that feel after 80+ years.

Scarce WWII USAAF / USN Winter Sheepskin Flight Trousers AN 6554 AN-T-35

This Cold weather flight trousers were manufactured by Arnoff Shoe Co. Inc. for the US Army Air Force & United States Navy. These are size 38R. The leather shows some age and wear with a couple of holes that can be seen in photos. One near the waistband, another down on the leg, and the other down by the foot. The US and AAF Logo are lightly faded but still visible, which in a lot of cases are completely gone. The leather has a slight sticky feel to it but this is common for leather of this age, it’s how you know it’s real.

Rare WWII USMC Paramarine NOM-Prefix Leather Flight Helmet w/ Chin Cup

WWII USAAF Type A-9 Summer Flight Helmet

Size: Medium. See photos for name marking. This US Army Air Force Helmet was designed early 1940s and is a simple unlined summer flying helmet constructed from four segments of heavy cotton. It features hooks to fit the harness of either the type A-9 or Type A-10 (standard) oxygen masks, tie strings (forehead and neck) for adjustment and a fleece-covered leather chin strap. This Helmet cap is in very good condition with great leather and stitching.

Here we have a very early example of a leather flight helmet with sheepskin liner. It doesn’t appear to be US issued, so quite possible British, German, or French. Left flap shows an intact button and right flap has part of a strap. Overall the helmet shows expected age wear but is good and pliable.

WWII Navy USN / USMC Mae West Inflatable Life Preserver Vest Dated 1945

It is Navy Gray Blue in color. This is an inflatable vest that was used by USN/USMC Pilots and Flight Crewmen During WWII. It was designed to be inflated by a CO2 cartridge or it can be manually inflated by the mouth inflation tube. The CO2 inflation mechanisms are present. The vest is slightly stiff but no major damage. No rips or tears in the vest. It still has the two rubber inflation tubes for manual inflation, but they are aged and worn. All the straps are present. Ink stamp markings are faint but visible, and you can barely make out the 1945 date, but it’s there! You typically only see the yellow ones, the navy one is much harder to come by. This would make a great display piece.

In order of the Admiralty, Wilkinson swords company made a last production round on P.07 bayonets for the 9mm Sterling M1941 Lanchester SMG, which was issued to the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. Interesting WWII D-Day Oral Surgeon Captain’s Uniform, and Overcoat Grouping

Grouping includes the captain’s uniform (coat, cap, and pants), an overcoat with pants, and a photo of him and his wife the day he left for England. This is the same uniform and overcoat he had in England. The name of the Captain was Doctor Richard Todd - His Date of service was June 1943 to November 1945. His time overseas was April 1944 to November 1945. He was apart of the 3rd Army-7th Infantry regiment. He Trained for medical response for D-day. Their training was for traumatic skull damage and the rebuilding of the face including severely destroyed oral, nasal, skull and upper resperatory. ||||| HISTORY: His first overseas assignment was to Brixton England where he was stationed during the D day invasion. As the front moved further into France he was transfered to Osmanville France at the 5th General Hospital followed by a relocation to St Lo before a relocation to their new hospital at the 103rd Evacuation Hospital during the major phase of the Battle of the Bulge. In Septmber 1945 transfered to Reims France to prepare to disembark for new station in U.S. Upon arrival unit was deactivated and he was released from service. Returned to N.C. to run his business with his wife until he passed in 1995. Grouping was acquired from NC Estate.

This is a very nice U.S. Army Air Forces Bubble-Type Sextant with Altitude Averaging device, USAAF part number AN-5851-1, in excellent condition. These were used for night time navigation about WWII Aircraft, designed to hang from a suspension arm in the bubble canopy of a military aircraft. These were used in Bombers such as the PBY and B-17. See photos for what’s all included. Wood box shows wear to the finish.

Excellent condition. It comes with an original case, two filters (red, yellow), various accessories and an (2) original wartime manual dated 1943 & 1944. Everything well marked. The K-20 (K20) is an aerial photography camera used during World War II, e.g., from the Enola Gay's tail gunner position of the mushroom cloud over Hiroshima. Designed by Fairchild Camera and Instrument, approximately 15,000 were manufactured under license for military contract by Folmer Graflex Corporation in Rochester, NY between 1941 and 1945.
