Group of Three (3) U.S. M1902 Army Officer's Swords: 1) 30" nickel-plated etched engraved blade, proved stamp at ricasso, no maker's marks. Unnamed blank panel on blade. Blade features floral and military motifs and American eagle. Nickel-plated three- branch guard with outer branch bent down. Black composite grip with four finger grooves. No scabbard. Condition is fair, the blade showing oxidation, light rust patches, and losses to the nickel plating at the tip. Handle shows age and soiling, hilt fittings are oxidized. 2) 32" nickel-plated etched engraved blade, with floral and military motifs. Maker marked by Henry V. Allen of New York at the ricasso. Nickel-plated three-branch guard with outer branch bent up slightly. Horn grip with four finger grooves. Original leather blade washer present. No scabbard. Condition is fair, the blade is heavily rusted with numerous small edge nicks. Guard and hilt fittings show oxidation patina overall. Grip is in very good condition. 3) 32" plain nickel-plated blade has no maker markings. Nickel-plated three-branch guard with the outer branch bent in toward the other two. Dark horn grip with four finger grooves. Leather sword knot with woven cord. Nickel-plated scabbard with two hanging rings. Part of a sword hanger is present on one ring. Condition is good, the blade is mostly bright with some wear from use and a residue of old dried oil. Plating on the hilt shows minor oxidation. Grip is in good condition. Scabbard shows some brazed dent repairs and has probably been re-plated; missing one small screw at the throat fitting. Sword knot shows age and wear to the leather, with flaking to the woven cord.
