Item Description: Translate description
.50 caliber, 33" octagonal barrel, with notched rear barrel sight, blade front sight.  Barrel marked C.N. Jackson, lockplate marked John Smith.  Nicely stripe maple stock  with cheek piece. An oval brass two piece patchbox. Stock has both brass and silver inlays.  Some are missing.  The barrel has seven lands and grooved rifling.  Bore is very good.  Stock show use with a nice untouched dark patina in the protected areas. The metal has a nice dark brown patina.  The ramrod thimble in the middle of the barrel has an old repair.
